A winding thin gravel road
Etched into mountain,
And circling outside smoke and clouds
Of fire filled air.

A great expanse of sea from one view,
A blind stone corner from the other,
A guess as to what's to come.

Our time with one another
Is as this journey,
Always guessing, exploring,
And always searching.

We watch the whales rise from the depths,
Of a shallow bay,
Half surrounded by cars and cameras,
We fall for the land,
And for each other.

Dream away our hazy tomorrow,
In sheltered evenings
From long drawn days,
Us land loved strays.

Please will you follow me,
Through every hardship,
Through every cloud.

And may we leave this paradise,
The real and the imagined,
And only look back,
With one another at its center.

Tyson,
This is absolutely beautiful. It left me speachless. Lucky is the woman who has these words written for her. I love the lines
"We fall for the land
and fall for each other"
Excellent!!

I posted once to you but it never made it. Your post is the only one I see. Like I said before. Thank you for the post. I needed it and appreciate it.

Alli,
Thank you!  It's nice when someone reads something 5 years after it's posted. Surprised you found it.
