PRIDE The pride that went before your fall served not to soften the blow at all Now, while you lie and weep, and try to somehow hide your hurt from me Maybe the eyes that cried the tears have somehow dimmed, so you can't see? You built high walls of hardest stone to keep me out, now you are alone. Haughty, mighty, foolish pride you could have taken it in stride-- to be wrong once is not to die Perhaps now you know the reason why what we had was allowed to die? my love failed to transcend your foolish pride -- 1996 |

Hey, love this one. I have a piece on pride too....somewhere. lol ------------------ "Glory remains unaware of my neglected dwelling where alone I sing my tearful song which has charms only for me." -Charles Brugnot |
