Did you ever love someone But knew they didn't care ? Did you ever feel like crying But knew you'd get know where? Did you ever close your eyes and say a lttle prayer ? Did you ever look in to their heart and wish you were their ? Did you ever watch them walk by not wanting them to go and wisper "GOD I LOVE YOU" and ever let then know ? You cry all night in misery and almost go insane Their is nothing in this world that would cause so much pain If I could choose between life and death I think I would rather die Love is fun but it hurts so much The price you pay is high And so I say to you my friend do not fall in love You get hurt before it is through You see my friend I ought to know because I fell in love With you !! |

This is absolutely beautiful.you took the words right out of my mind ------------------ "Glory remains unaware of my neglected dwelling where alone I sing my tearful song which has charms only for me." -Charles Brugnot |

Did you ever post a poem that you knew you didn't write. Well you my friend have done it and I don't think its right. You shouldn't take the credit for things you didn't do. I read this poem in high school and the poet wasn't you. |

Lucie, I could have used you around about six months ago - when someone else suckered me into posting this same poem (uh, with better spelling) on the main Passions site. It seems to be a very popular poem - with a whole lot of authors claiming credit for it! http://www.fortunecity.com/boozers/cheshire/454/dyouever.html http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Acres/6660/lovesomeone.html http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Dojo/1150/poem2.htm http://home.thirdage.com/Romance/blueladie/ http://sites.netscape.net/kannertan/homepage And those are just the ones I know about... Babygirl, I know the rules aren't very clear (and I'm gonna fix that), but we're really fussy around here about not posting poems that don't belong to us. In the first place, there are copyright laws (even, uh, when there are so many authors? ), and we all want to abide by them. In the second place, the poets around here work really hard to create their original work, and we kinda resent it when someone takes the easy way out. So, consider yourself suitably chastized. Now ya know... |

Um, I've read this poem several times and recieved it in email. Not good to be biting other people's work. |

HEY HEY HEY!!! Wait a moment please!!!!! I have to say something.... I really did write this poem once... And I have since found that other's have written it in a similar way. Not all of them are the same, but very, very similar. Perhaps, many people have the same thoughts and feelings??? Couldn't that be??? If not, then I am the official author of this poem, because I really did write it years and years ago. However, it's much easier to believe that many other people have written this particual emotion in very similar ways!!! ------------------ ~onevoice~ "Odi et amo. Quare id faciam, fortasse requiris.
