Sometimes I believe that no one would care
If I tryed to turn for help would anyone be there?
Everyone around me thinks I am so strong
Im sorry guys but you are all wrong
No one really knows the real me
I wear a mask so that underneath no one can see
It's not a choice that I have to make
I wear it for other peoples sake
I let others believe that I am so brave
The real me is dark and hollow like a cave
My friends think I am happy all the time
If somethings bugging me I smile and say everything is fine
Only I know the real person inside
But to the rest of the world forever it will hide.

it may not be your best but it speaks to me. being a Mom, you have to be brave and strong and not show hurt. too many DEPEND on you. the frustration of this is great and so this is why I write.

Sherri, we have all been forced to wear that mask from time to time. Just don't loose sight of the person behind it. As I've said, if you need to talk, I'm here.
Hugs

This is quite profound! I think everyone can relate to this! Very well done!
