His gracious soul arrived one day
And gently stole her heart away;
He made her see that life could be
A symphony of harmony;
A song of two - forevermore;
Of soaring wings above the shore
-No longer tangled in the tide
Of drowning dreams - hid deep inside
A tender heart that suffered much
Healed at long last - by true love's touch
-A gentle giant came that day
And banished anguished tears away;
Their legacy of love shall be
That symphony of harmony;
That song so true - forevermore;
Those soaring wings above life's shore...

...A stolen glance would surely see
Two hearts aflight...and so to be
Forevermore - this gentle pair..

...The nobleman and his lady fair.

Denise...this is absolutely beautiful. I love the way you wrote this piece.

Absolutely beautiful...this couple is a lucky one, not to only have found love like this, but to also have you write it so perfectly in a poem.

Thank you hoot_owl and WhtDove. I'm glad that you liked it. I wrote this for my daughter and her fiance when they became engaged. My daughter had been through her share of heartache in the romance department. Thank God she finally found her soul mate!

yes, back to the top ... with your many wonderful poems, this is my favorite ... i find it truly touching ... as one who thought he was singing a duet only to find out it was a solo ... the poem hits a wistful note with me ... thank you ...
