Behind these cold eyes a martyr is born.
By hatred of life he has been conceived.
From an empty existence he is torn.
He is the patron of all those deceived.

For thirty years this mind has been his womb.
He's fed by ancient pain and cold deceit.
My compassion for man he did exhume.
He broke my heart too, with my own conceit.

He recalled to mind every game I've played.
My martyr made me face the pain I've dealt.
By the crushing weight of guilt I'm dismayed.
Within my mind he soothed the pain I felt.

With kindness my martyr embraced my Beast.
Compassionately he swallowed it whole.
The providence of my life has increased.
Now the Beast that is me has a new soul.

This poem is a little sad, Dream... But I do understand where you are coming from...

This is what I knew was there.
As usual, I stand amazed at your talent!
Great job.
