This challenge was supposed to be a Christmas poem. This is as close as I can get on an 85 degree day in September. hehe Just around the corner is the season that I like would have to say it has been, since I was just a tyke. There aren’t many Christmas songs with which you can relate just a lot that stick inside your head, the ones you really hate. OK when first you hear them, you’ll find you sing along , but after mid November …all their charm is truly gone. Twelve days of Christmas, Rudolph and Frosty too, every store you step in will play new versions just for you. What happened to the old ones we learned when we were small, ones your kids have never heard and stores never play at all. Like "Christmas is coming the geese are getting fat won’t you please put a penny in the old man’s hat." But its 85 degrees out and I shouldn’t think of snow poetic challenges take you places that you never thought to go. U K Hero gave me this one guess he thought he’d stump me to but with a mind like I’ve got that’s not an easy thing to do. [This message has been edited by Lucie (edited 09-11-99).] |

Lucie, I would say you are as unstumpable as a person can get. Challenge well met. |

Wonderful....but I sit here in 105 degree heat...humidity is 40%. I can't even think about FALL yet, let alone Christmas! |
