Time is a thief, he moves so fleetingly, Time is so limited, there and then away, It is one of the greatest powers that be, To him we must all eventually pay. He controls the length of the day, He controls our relationships, He controls how long we play, He controls how long we kip. We all respect him very much, And live our lives by his rule, But we do tend to forget, He certainly is no fool. He allows us time to laugh and share, Time spent with loved ones, Time to live our lives, Time to bask in the sun. But because of him we lose so much, Friends and family,special moments shared, Because of him we must learn to live, And make the most of time so unfair. We must live each day to it's fullest, Love, learn, laugh, cry and share, For when the time is up, Our loved ones won't be there. Say all that needs to be said, Do all that you must do, Cos ol' Father Time is watching over me, And watching over you. His decision is made, there's no going back, Make the most of your days and nights, For he is never slack, Make the most of every second, live your life right. ************************************************** I don't know whether I like this or not, but here it is....... ------------------ Words that enlighten the soul are more precious than jewels. ~Isis~ |

...and yet we all tend to wish our lives away by wishing time to speed by to the next event...myself included! "Don't ask why me, life's running by me, Live each moment that it brings, Take the time to smell the roses, Take the time to watch the stars, Take the time to see your child grow" ("Why Me", song written by Olivia Newton-John) I can't compose, only quote, but hopefully I can learn from Isis and Olivia...one day... |
