I am the lonely traveler Many miles I have come I've traveled by bus, by boat and train And now and then my thumb I haven't a clue as to what I'll find When I reach the end of my road Each passing day I sit and wonder What the next day it will hold The day's are long and tiring Upon these roads I walk If only I had a companion With someone whom I could talk For I am the lonely traveler My days of youth gone by There's not a lot of time for me Till I'm traveling to the sky So onward till my journey ends I've come to this conclusion That every day I've lived my life Has just been an illusion Copyright1999 Harold Amstutz ------------------ Harold Amstutz [This message has been edited by stoney1 (edited 09-09-99).] [This message has been edited by stoney1 (edited 09-09-99).] [This message has been edited by stoney1 (edited 09-09-99).] |

Nicely done. Being a BUM has its advantages...no taxes. The rhythem works and the poem flows. I wonder if you meant "road" instead of "goal?" Thanx for posting. INclan ------------------ Express Yourself! |

Oh I can really feel the lonliness in this....I hope you really don't see life as an illusion....I wish you more happiness to come! I'm with INclan, I think "road" would work good there....? Nice job as usual... ------------------ I beckon you to come...I lure you with my tongue... - poet FemmeFatale |
