I had a little treat today,
I saw a Monarch butterfly.
And though I almost stepped on it,
It's color caught my eye.
Thinking BUG! I took a quick step back,
And drew a startled breath within.
My dog was just protecting me,
And tried to catch it for her din.
It quickly spread its wings,
And floated on its way...
Off into the sunshine,
But it really made my day!

Thanks Pepper...Balladeer, I can't stand bugs! When I jumped back my dog started at it, she is my bug eater! But it turned out to be a beautiful Monarch Butterfly. Thank you!
