For so long I longed for you And now I know not why And I changed myself around for you Hoping you'd love me if I tried One day I saw you walking alone With the word "Nirvana" scrawled on your shirt So I went home and bought the Cd I thought that it couldn't hurt Next you were all about Torn clothes and dirty hair So became your living shadow For what did I even care I heard that you were in a band But I could not sing a note So I picked up pen and paper And poetry I wrote So I went to all the parties And the people I met were alright I started to like what I had become And of you I sort of lost sight Now you date the cheerleaders For loud dirty hair you abhor And I like you a little I suppose But I like myself a little more Hope I can get a response to this ![]() ------------------ "Come night, come darkness, for you cannot come too soon or stay too long in such a place as this." Rox, I really liked this poem...the most important thing in life is to learn to love yourself for who you are...not what people want you to be. Bravo to you...for this poem and for learning to like yourself even more! Star ------------------ We are only truly apperciated after we are no more! |

The last two lines were priceless ... I enjoyed the read. ![]() Nocht ------------------ "Nunc lento sonitu dicunt, morierus" (Now as I hear this bell tolling softly for another, it says to me, "Thou must die.") |

Thank you all for the comments... I just felt that I was indebted to this fake loser who introduced me to the things that I know enjoy....like writing on here. ![]() ------------------ "Come night, come darkness, for you cannot come too soon or stay too long in such a place as this."
