I had a dream.. I saw you there with cupid lips and silky hair. But you my child do not exist I gave into pressure did not resist. Your loss of life was by my hand I pray that God will understand. Now 13 years since I did sin you come to dreams that never end. I thought that you would disappear but you my child are ever near. Memories that can’t be erased have even given you a face. Forgive me child I beg of you for I was but a child too. I know that this is no excuse can never erase what was done to you. Allow me to touch your face in dream kiss your brow, let mommy sing. For you my child will always be and in my heart I carry thee. Someday I’ll stand and face the lord for what I’ve done he did record. All the sins and this the worst it was my choice my soul I cursed. I pray for you my little one were you daughter, were you son? I only pray that God forgive me so I can hold you for eternity. |

Lucie hind site is 20/20 and all we can do at the time is make the choices we feel are the best then. My heart goes out to you. I have a sister who lives with the same guilt and regret, she had an abortion when she was 18 and in college, now she is 42 and has never carried a child to term. She lives with the guilt, that because of what she did so many years ago, that she will never have a child of her own even though the doctors have told her that is not the reason, she still blames herself. Your poem should be on the wall of ever abortion clinic in the country. People look for the easy way out, never thinking what will haunt them when all is done and over with. You have done an excellent job in expressing this. May God bless you and grant you peace, we can't go back...only forward. Your right Ruth, and every day I thank God that he gave me another shot at it... I love my little king and his wicked ugly troll sister..haha I see wonder and amazement in their eyes everyday and dred the day when I will have to answer questions from them about this subject. I only hope that I have my answers by then. |

This is very moving...thank you for sharing this. One thing i must say though...God took back the soul that was released when you made your choice...I'm sure He understands...and I know He watches what you're going through...you feel rmorse...He'll forgive you.
