In a whisper I hear you
Softly calling my name
A whisper so light, but draws,
Like a moth to a flame.
It's in the air like a vapor,
Kissing my ear.
Cloud-like it passes.
Is it your voice I hear?
In a moment it's gone
No trace of its presence.
But when I hear you whisper
I retain its essence.
Softly it hides so deep in the soul.
The essence of something
I can't seem to let go.
A whisper so quiet,
Yet so very loud.
A whisper that can still...
The noise of a crowd.
A whisper that tickles
All the way to the heart.
It is your whisper darlin'
That strikes like a dart.
The essence of you
I will hide for life.
In times like this,
Our moment of strife.
In a whisper I hear........
