I lay next to her just watching her cry.
Heartbroken tears are trailing down her face.
I told her, "I love you", was just a lie.
The streaming tears really picked up their pace.

She's not the first nor will she be the last.
Emotional rape is my favorite game.
I recall the broken hearts of the past.
All of them cry out their heart, just the same.

With tears still flowing, I stand up to leave.
"Don't leave me", she cries, "Could I have done more?"
Their begging is the goal that I achieve.
That crumpled face is something I adore.

In the back of my mind there is one doubt.
What happens if my game should turn about?

I know there are men out there like this (women too).....this is a very sad poem... I feel bad for the 'heartbreaker'....

True, there are men out there like this. Thank God they are in the minority! Very good poem!

Good poem Dream
"Emotional rape" in itself.

Well written Dream, but eventually the games run out and left alone is the player...my sympathy is with him as he never realizes until too late what he had from the very start
