If I had dragon wings

I'd hover o'er the why of things
If only I had dragon wings.
I would fly in a thoughtful muse
And give the things that all could use.

I'd be the giver and tender
Reigning ruler and pretender.
Season the cauldron with good taste
Eliminate the awful waste.

I'd ring out war and ring in peace.
I'd make each gender sign a lease.
And blow on them with fires cruel
If they did not obey the rule.

I'd hold a court for every need
And listen well to every plead.
For those that lie they'd pay a toll
A piece of their eternal soul.

I'd make the stars rain wished on things,
If only I had dragon wings.

Well, if we can't have a real utopia, we can at least find it in your writings, I think. good job

Sy, as you know, I've read a lot of your poetry and this is, by far, the best thing you've written, in my humble opinion.

U K Hero and Justblue,
Thank you so much for the read and comments.
As I said before when I put a poem to sleep
I like to be the last to tuck it in goodbye.
