That bally dear’s a bally cuss His bally poems cause bally fuss While little word for bally us Is bally dearer? Our bally poems aren’t bally bad Less bally replies we’ve bally had Than one of his I’m bally sad Is bally dearer? All bally rhyme and bally brains We bally catch the bally remains You have this dear on you’re bally brains Is bally dearer? I bally read this bally dear The bally poetry posted bally here I’m not as good I bally fear Yes bally’s dearer My apologies go to two fine poets, one is Captain Hamish Blair whose poem ( The Bloody Orkneys ) I borrowed and perverted to construct this ramble. The second fine poet should be obvious ! [This message has been edited by writer51 (edited 09-04-99).] |

I don’t think it will be noticed that much ( hope I’m right ) Thanks Pepper and RainbowGirl for replying. Yes, I admit your general rule. That every poet is a fool: But I myself may serve to show it. That every fool is not a poet. [This message has been edited by writer51 (edited 09-04-99).] |

I'd barely arrived from work to here And barely had time for a barley beer When, what to my bally eyes appear Than a poem about a bally deer. My mind, at times, can be quite muddy But, does bally take the place of bloody? Not sure - but, to treat the poet fairly I'll assume it stands for barely. So, since Toeray now can bally walk And LongJohnAg can bally talk I hope my meaning's bally clear Your poem was very ballsy, dear. ------------------------------------------- p.s. Your poem was excellent! The compliment was not wasted and I appreciate it. I'm not familiar with Captain Hamish Blair. The only Blair I've read is Eric, who we know better as George Orwell, but I will look for that poem. And I'm not too familiar with the Orkneys, except to know that the Islands, including Pomona, don't appear to be extremely hospitable but I'll check them out, too. Thank you, Writer51, for your thoughts, in whatever bally fashion you care to put them down. |
