The holidays approach and we are ending
the cheer and spirit will be with all
not I, nor you
I will look sadly at the children's smiling faces
and look away from the cheer of family
I will remember this last holiday season
how our love could have given Santa a heart attack
how your family approved and considered me one of their own
how I could see into the future our own children
and the smiles that would light thier faces on Christmas morning
The fall with the turning of the leaves will be the hardest
trips up to the White Mountains admiring the changing of the season
brilliantly shining and colors crying out around the blue in the sky
Singing silly songs in the car and laughing
Me bending over to kiss your sweet cheek
I love your smell
No, the holidays will not be cheerful for me
I will sit and contemplate the decisions in life that we make
that break our hearts and paths that we've worked so hard to climb
I only hope that by my decisions I will gain knowledge
Go chase your dreams and all of the glory and fame that awaits you
but you must leave the love of your life to do so
you cannot have both
I left mine
he cries everyday
as do I
Life sends you on some heartless missions
I sit and await the tears that come pouring out of my swollen eyes to reach my thirsting mouth
They say that I'm "Clinically Depressed"
They don't even know me
or how I feel or how my heart loves
I miss him
I'm so sorry Michael
I will always love you from the depths of my soul, always.......

Go and chase fame and Rockstars but be prepared to sacrifice your security, love, and purity. Life is an everchanging lesson.

Sage,
This piece has brought tears to my eyes.
The pain is vivid and well understood on my part.

You've captured the innocence of belief in marriage quite well. I hope you will recapture it again some day, and keep it close to you.

You drew this out quite well.
