The day that you did give yourself to me I thought forever I'd have you to hold. But now the truth I finally can see. You're nothing more than callous, cruel, and cold. I thought forever I'd have you to hold And when you strayed, you got another chance. You're nothing more that callous, cruel, and cold. You've gone too far for me to change my stance. And when you strayed, you got another chance. I took you back and thought that you would change. You're gone too far for me to change my stance. Since change you won't, my life I'll rearrange. I took you back and thought that you would change. Then off you went behind my back again. Since change you won't, my life I'll rearrange. The meaning of true love's beyond your ken. Then off you went behind my back again. No longer will we live as man and wife. The meaning of true love's beyond your ken. I loved you and yet you caused me this strife. No longer will we live as man and wife For now the truth I finally can see. I loved you and yet you caused me this strife The day that you did give yourself to me. ------------------ *Elizabeth* "Dwelt a maid belov'd and cherish'd by high and low, But with autumn leaf she perish'd, long time ago..." It is wonderful to see this poem, a pantoum.... it took a talent to do this, as well as you have. (psst..) Ok- I admit it, I was getting a bit stressed out without another friend here to share the stress of trying to keep up with their standards..... ![]() |
