The kitten and the crow, both nestlings, could have been sisters. Cute and perfect and both as black as obsidian tussling like siblings on the grass. With raised fur and feathers they jump and run. To try and bite a crow is not easy, or to dart the sharp beak of precision into a skitty kitty. Neither skill was quite perfected. Then, I with my broom and instinct of protection, invade the fracas, not knowing who to protect, I sweep the broom here and there jab at the air and yell, "stop that" until I notice the mother crow decending on the fray and scat just like the cat. |
