Trampled Dreams

I don't know if there will ever be a time again that I can call you mine

I hope for that day once again

All those days I cherished so

I now fully see what I did

I feel the blow to the heart

I know and understand what I did to "US"

Knowing everything that was wrong and right

I trampled on our dreams

This was a very dreadful thing

There is so much love inside

I Love the way we spent our time

So many days with you were mine

I threw them away by a single act

Seeminly not caring what the conseguences would be

So many things I misunderstood

So many things I wish I'd thought about

I wish I had showed you how much I truly care

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I hope you enjoy!!
We always feel sad after the fact but give little thought to the consequences before. Your poem explains that very well. Nice job.
