He promised to make love to me on the beach as the sun went down. He promised to get me drunk off cheap wine and stagger with me as we walked to our hotel room. He promised me Paris. He promised to build my dream house with his own two hands. He promised to marry me, and have two children of our own. He promised me Love. He never made love to me on the beach as the sun went down. He never got me drunk off cheap wine, or staggered down the street with me to our hotel room. I never saw Paris. He never built my dream house. He never married me, and we never had two children of our own. I never saw Love. |

How sad for you, I hope that someday you find Your truest love, not just someone that takes you for granted. However your poem has lots of feeling, and is beautifully put together. |

Oh my Lynn, how tragiacally sad, but oh how well written. I could feel your heartache very vividly with this piece. |
