Little boy, what do you seek,
...down on your hands and knees?
Have you lost your favorite toy,
...out here amongst the trees?

Perhaps you've lost a baseball card,
...perhaps a shiny dime?
Did I hear right? What's that you say,
...You're looking for lost time?

You ask your Daddy if he'll play,
...each and every night,
And he replies, can't find the time,
...to play with you tonight.

I fear to say, but it is true,
...when all is said and done,
It is not time the father lost,
...instead he lost his son.

All too true Mike, and after a while, all those little losses add up and become irreputable damage.. Well writen!!

Aw Mike! Hanky time! A wonderful rhyme and a very good message...we should give our children the most valuable commodity in the world...our time..let everything else wait!

Loved this Mike. I wish my ex would wake up and realize it too. He's missing out on some great times with our kids.

Another masterpiece. This should be hung on every wall of every house that has a child. They grow so fast and are gone too soon. And the time is truly lost forever. We should take advantage of it while we have it. Again, Mike, very well done.

Thank you all... the last two children went to college this year and it only further highlights the fact that time is our most precious commodity.
