I do love you.
Let me speak the words now
to celebrate the time when
they become unnecessary,
A time when I am so close to you
there is no fraction
of distance between us.

In that time we will breathe
a single breath, our hearts
will beat with a single rhythym.
It will be as if I stepped
inside your skin, and you
stepped inside of mine.

I won't have to say "I love you" -
you'll know before I've even
finished the thought.
And I will feel you answer
with your softest caress,
your most tender kiss.

But for now, let me speak the words -
let me send them flying across
the cities and beaches that lie between us.

I do love you.

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints in our heart and we are never ever the same.

Thank you all for leaving footprints!!

What an absolutely beautiful poem.I'm in a long distance relationship right now myself and your poem so eloquently describes my own feelings. It's hard sometimes, but completely worth it.Your poem was gorgeous.

Very nice - This one will certainly hit a soft spot with more than a few of our Passions residents....

Marvelous ... and true for many of us.

Thank you.
