10 years remembered please read! Imagine a place Where old dusty comic books Can seem like an undiscovered Treasure In a room where the sun rises Just for me On the stage of a bay window Illuminating one hundred acres Best seen through Toes Trailing in the grass On the back of an old tractor Driven by an old man With false teeth Kept in a Santa Claus Cup Which smells of Marlboro Mixed with air freshener and Dust On old stairs leading Down to the kitchen filled With iced tea and Baked ham Eaten with fresh tomatoes and Home grown potatoes Next to the shelter door Which we should never Ever Go near. ~ Angela Erin Burke ~ ------------------ "Glory remains unaware of my neglected dwelling where alone I sing my tearful song which has charms only for me." -Charles Brugnot [This message has been edited by Saxoness (edited 09-23-1999).] |
