Slumber

As I slumber I often wonder
Through subconscious thought
How you came to be with me
And wish for us an eternity

There's no barrier to stop the feeling
Of my passion and desiring
The love which you told to me
And your touch I wait to receive

I sense, I feel, and I know
That my time will quickly go
But for hours, seconds, and minutes
Time will have to stand still

Soon we'll be together
To insure our future better
To build a deep abiding love
With help from God above.

I feel you next to me
As I slumber fast asleep
Touching and loving so real
Can you sense the touch?

Don't ever let me wake
I don't want to leave here
Wait this is not a dream
But our life together

Meet me there my darling
I will call your name loudly
During nights of passion's grasp
As we express our love
