Long ago and far away they took my innocence of life and play. A child no more, with secrets hid, "Don't tell" they said, uh-oh I did. My value gone, life full of tears, No sense of order, just my fears. A silent scream shakes my mind, But search I must, the truth to find. With each step, the efforts great, I can't go on--my life's at stake. I'm drowning in this vile past, I ache with fear, how long it lasts. I scream, I cry, my skin I tear, To pull this pain from a life I bear. STOP--DON'T--can't look, NO...PLEASE--My life they took! I hate, I hurt, I'm numb with pain. Each day I wake to walk again, but still "IT" remains! |

I am in tears, litteraly. This is very deep, personal, and saddening. I feel for you. It is a great poem, but so sad. Keep posting, I love reading your poems, no matter how sad or happy they are. You have a real talent and a real passion in what you write! |

Oh geez, Echo...That is a very deep poem. I hope though, that you are not keeping it all in as a silent scream, you need ot let that out. Scream as loud as you can...but that is my own opinion on that. That brought tears to my eyes though. |

My dear this one cries such pain and anguish. You've done a great job expressing this. God bless you and no one deserves to be treated like that! Especially you! |
