Acrostic Sometimes you may never know Until you’ve strolled my shores, Night will follow ever slow Suns will, in a light, come, and go. Here I am at twilight’s dusk In a quandary, slipping deep Night becomes me even now E’er more I sleep. Winter beautifies my charms, as In the cool sun thus the ground glistens Like diamonds thrown by fairies ‘round Lying ’cross the snow’s white ground. Beyond comprehension, Enigmatic at the last. By your leave I, sadly now, Aim my sight and arrows elsewhere; Chimera as an art’s final form, with Kindness thrown everywhere. 20 September, 1999 ©KRJ ------------------ Sunshine Look, then, into thine heart, and write ~~~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow |

My favorite Sunshine poem (so far) Very good imagery- (esp. liked the diamond-throwing faries)but also a quiet strength lurked behind each line-a sense of resolute acceptance and deep love of Nature's Plan. I suspect it's one of your own favorites as well.Correct? Thanks for sharing it. Paul ------------------ |

As an acrostic, it will probably be one of my favorites... |

Thank you Pepper and Hoot. For a while I thought I would have to leave, and here I am, back already. |

This is beautiful - I wouldn't really notice it was an Acrostic unless you told me because the poetry is beautiful. Thank you, Sunny one. A |
