I'm sitting here watching and the air is thickening He's stopped swimming and is captive in stasis, Trapped by the glass and its enticing reflections With the room's colours swirling and drunkenly blurring. Am I watching him or am I him watching me? It's too early to tell, so hard to see as Your words lunge like swords while dripping with honey, Room filling with the clash of their saccharine blades. If I could be him I would open my gills Because those word steal my air and block up my mouth, And if he was me he'd gasp in mongoloid stutters, He'd open and shut a fluttering mouth, And while he was squirming I'd hang in the water With thoughts 1 second long rippling my brain.
