Always reach for me,
No matter what I say,
What I do.

When I fall downward among the darkest of clouds,
Come charging in under me,
Demand my ascent.

When my trust falters or sways,
Always be willing to stay,
Always say to me,
My long distant friend,
That within only me
Lies the key,
To unlock myself.

And if we ever meet,
My dear, trusted friend,
May we rest a thousand days
With our first hug,
Enough comfort to last the years.

Always reach for me,
My trusted new friend,
As if my life held your last breath captive,
As if your life awaited only my arrival,
As if we were meant to trust the other,
'Til there was no other to trust.

(and I think you know who you are)

Tyson...I sit here with tears in my eyes, this is absolutely beautiful...nothing I can say can even compair to the beauty in your words. You have left me speechless and that does not happen often. I just don't know what to say besides thanks.
Hugs

Tyson,
I have to tell you one more time how touched I am by your words. To me they are far more than words. I think you have read my mind with this piece, reached inside and and found a soul lost long ago. Thanks can never be enough.

Isn't it wonderful what friendship can bring to us? Tyson this is really soul-curving...it bent mine right into the shape of a smile.

And your friend is well deserving of your words

It is indeed a beautiful tribute both to friendship in general and to that one special friend for whom it is written.I am touched deeply by it as well...having made a few very close friends online that I have et to meet face to face I can completely identify with the lines:
"May we rest a thousand days
With our first hug,
Enough comfort to last the years."
and the ending,
"Always reach for me,
My trusted new friend,
As if my life held your last breath captive,
As if your life awaited only my arrival,
As if we were meant to trust the other,
'Til there was no other to trust."
QUITE CAPTIVATING....bRAVO!
