It lay claim to me before I was born. My life echoes it like a dropped cymbal. For the life lost to me I come to mourn. I've spoken of my miscarried brother. I've told of how he was torn from my side. His place will be taken by no other. I've told of all the bitter tears I cried. Born I was with twisted valves in my heart. Double tied was my umbilical cord. Birthing me tore my poor mother apart. The loss of my brother went long ignored. I used to so enjoy watching it rain. I fell out a window when not quite three. Unexpectedly I crashed through the pane. I severed my femoral artery. My baby blanket was a powder blue. Wrapping me in it, mom had cause for dread. Soon I had turned a cyanotic blue. At the hospital the blanket was red. I showed the world such promise as a child. One time I was labeled a polymath. Soon enough my knowledge made me reviled. Then of course there was the fear of my wrath. A multitude of women trashed my name. I've been made to feel like fish belly slime. I was played a pawn in a woman's game. I was deprived of my reason for rhyme. Now though life has added a brand new twist. Love took a delightful hold on my soul. Not one time did I wish it to desist. Loving my Lady truly makes me whole. Here though is what makes it truly tragic. My past found her love so hard to believe. Loving her filled my heart with such magic. Now for the loss of her my heart does grieve. My Lady has left my side to be healed. Too late we believed in each other's love. The scope of that love to us was revealed. Her company I now feel bereft of. Finally I found one who fulfills my need. Her leaving is high tragedy indeed. ©1999 DreamEvil ------------------ Now and forever my heart hears ~one voice~. DreamEvil© |

Just my opinion, but I think this is the best yet. I really love it when you make an admixture of the light and the dark. It entrances, saddens and uplifts me at the same time. And the end of this makes me feel a pang of loss, mixed with a sliver of wan hope! WOW! |

Poignant and fascinating...a glimpse of what I knew dwelt there all the time, my friend...a heart, some hope, and that love. You just needed someone to share it, and I'm glad you found her. ------------------ The only man worth your tears will never make you cry... |

Eloquent words. And thank you for revealing a little bit more about you....it shows that you are trusting us a bit more...but then love does that sometimes. |

What more can I offer in words that I have not already offered in friendship. This is truly a wonderful look into Dream's World. I feel honored to be able to take a peek. Well done my friend! |

That was great, Dream. She'll love these when she comes back. ------------------ Work like you don't need the money, love like it's never going to hurt, dance like nobody's watching. |

May your love wing on high, fly to tragedy's height, and see you once again safely through dark's night. Words fail to express the beauty of this piece. Thank you. |

How sad for you but no life is built on tragedy alone, there are many happy stories and poems and memories in there too! (HUGS) for your saddness though. ------------------ Words that enlighten the soul are more precious than jewels. ~Isis~ |
