I am a rock and you are a rose I lay at your feet so close to your toes. You're face is so lovely, looks soft to the touch mines like the moon and not touched very much. Your stem is just perfect, so trim and so lean I'm neither pebble nor boulder but somewhere between. A rose is admired by most everyone A rock just gets stepped on or thrown just for fun. Like dew off your petals or rain from the sky Just lean on my shoulder if you need to cry. A rose is so fragile a rock has much strength Should you lean on me now, I will hold you at length. A rose is to romance as beauty to love I'm a rock in your garden can you see me from above? |

Wow...this one really has a message behind it. Nicely done. I really loved these lines "A rose is to romance as beauty to love I'm a rock in your garden can you see me from above?" ------------------ "In the depths of winter, I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer" ~Albert Camus |

Melanie thank you for sending this to me, no I didn't read it. I am VERY surprised that this don't have more than one comment on here. This was absolutely beautiful! So much meaning my dear. I love how you used the symbolism here. Very, very well written. You should be so proud of yourself, you talent amazes me at how you can put things into words. |
