Baking in the Oven The wind strokes the pussy willow And the cat stalks a mouse. The cow grazing chews its cud And the moon lights the house. The dog lays by the open fire. The fire throws thongs of heat. I sit upon my self made throne And dwell upon my feet. My Queen is still in twilight land Asleep upon her nest. I drink my blessings one by one And dream upon the rest. How much of this is really true? Of how and what we are? How fragile is our ivy tower? How solid is our star? Enjoy each rosebud of the hour Each a bud that makes a flower. |

Ok, now I want to go home, bake some bread, smell the richness of the moment, and contemplate life. To heck with work. Good job! |
