Out of The Shadows: Inspired by Michael |

I'm standing in the shadows, Feeling like life is passing me by, I watch another's happiness, Feeling like I should cry. This feeling washes over me, Surrounds me like a shroud, I can tell no-one how I'm feeling, Don't dare to voice it out loud. Then the shadows lessen, A voice it calls to me, 'Where are you Mummy?' 'Where can you be?' The darkness clears, A smile, it lights my face, My sweet little angel has called me, Transported me to my rightful place. My arms they open wide, Into them my son does run, He says, 'I love you Mummy,' 'Can we play, can we have some fun?' I tickle him, he laughs with glee, My dim mood it has gone, The child of my heart has reminded me, Of the way life's meant to be. We have paid all the bills, We have food and clothes to wear, We should make the most of each and every moment, We should seize the magic so special and so rare. I've stepped out of the shadows, My shroud has disappated, I'm reminded of my purpose here, My happiness is fated. Beautifully done, Isis, You couldn't have possibly known just how much of a role my children play in my life when I gave you this challenge - you caught me off guard with where you took the phrase. This one is special for me - my children are truly the enlightenment of my life. Thank you. Michael |

Glad you all liked it and thankyou.. Michael, there were so many ways it could've gone, but what better way than where your children are, they are the light and strength for a lot of children.
