And now, I am not the same You say our parting was a shame Begin again as more than friends? Can you tell me of your heart? For secrets kept, I have wept and felt it best that I depart though it left an open wound And now, I am not the same I am broken, numb to pain I cannot feel, and do not heal though a lesson I have learned Know my rage will be your wage should my faith you burn For I cannot trust too soon And now, I am not the same I've engaged in my own game It takes its toll but I'm in control I will never lose again So love me with care, if you dare or you'll pay the costs in the end And I'll walk away immune And now, I am not the same 'Tis my heart you must reclaim Not done with ease in this cold breeze That blows from inside my soul If the love you keep for me is deep Then that love you must extol To save our hearts from certain doom caroline 1999 all rights reserved ------------------ The only man worth your tears will never make you cry... |
