Howdy Ron....I did a search on Purloined Poetry (Alley thread from March, 2001). Couldn't find it. So I did a search in the Lounge, recalling the merger last month. I pulled it up, but the forum location was Lounge/Alley (the merged name instead of one or the other). Is sorting still ongoing or were some simply missed? Also, since this particularr thread is mentioned on the main site, would the url addy of it need modification as well? Just wondering in light of Michael's and Kit's Alley topics.  Alicat |

When I changed the name of the Lounge/Alley back to the Lounge, it didn't automatically update all of the search indexes. I usually try to rebuild the indexes from scratch about one a week, but I'm WAY behind on that schedule (and still didn't get the Name Change sweep done this weekend either). It's getting increasingly difficult to find the forums slow enough to close. I wasn't aware that thread was referenced at the main site, Ali? If so, yea, it will need to be changed. |

My mistake on that one, Ron. The reference was from the PiPTalk Posting Guidelines. Purloined Poetry pulls up a 404 /pip/Forum6/HTML/000573.html which I'm sure references the original Alley thread. I understand well your time constraints, so no hurry, no worries.
