Been having a lot of problem with burstnet last several days. When I go to piptalk.com, before getting into the forums, there seems to be a banner or something from burstnet which must come up before the forums menu will. Many times, it never appears and when it does, it is often a 20 second or more wait. Ron, I know I can bypass that by clicking on the link you provided in the text below. Just wanted to say that if you can't get around this problem then at least don't remove that link. Otherwise I fear I won't be able to get in at all. Thanks, Pete |

Coincidentally, I just warned Chris of a similar problem in this thread (last big paragraph) over in TechTalk. You'd think I'd follow my own advice, wouldn't you? :-) The problem, of course, is that the dynamic menus at the piptalk.com main page are driven by JavaScript and don't appear until everything on the page is done loading. I was, frankly, playing a little bit when I put that page together, and normally eschew those kinds of bells and whistles for these very reasons. It's really been something of a surprise how many people go through that page, though, and a complete redesign is VERY high on my to-do list. That could actually be a pretty useful page if done right. In any event, you needn't worry about the URL to the forums themselves changing any time soon. |
