Several of the smilies that Kit has designed that still may not have a :_: shortcut seem to be circumvented from appearing.  Like this one... How do we go about getting them back? |

I'll probably understand this question after a few cups of coffee. Then again, maybe not. They are appearing, or you couldn't show me one. But you just showed me one, so they are appearing. Er, something like that. What am I missing? |

Now isn't this something. Ok Ron...I could see the graphics at the office computer, but not here on my home computer. I came back to check 'cause...I just looked in on a poem in open and all I am seeing are the little boxes with the X in 'em... perhaps this is a tech problem with my 'puter after all... |

Are all the smilies broken, Karilea? Or just some? If it's just some, maybe you could give me links to a few threads where you see broken images? I might be able to find a common theme. |

Ok, there is this one, the egg in particular; there was one in Open, NewEnglandlazarlu [if I spelled that correctly]; I was just in Staff Lounge, and the current thread up - some missing there as well. Some. Not all. While I have your attention, Ron, I cannot connect to my webpage, which in turn, I think, is giving me fits with the program that Nan had given me in order to add graphics to it. She's been working on it, but between us, we cannot find the problem. I only know I cannot pull up my index page for graphics, nor connect to the FTP program... could this all be connected? Very connected. The graphics you can't see all seem to be sitting on xyz.netpoets.net, and of course, so is your site. I just checked and was able to get to your opening page ( http://karilea.netpoets.net/ ) without any problem. And I see all the graphics, too. If I'm right, you won't be able to get to any of the netpoets.net sites. Try these: http://nan.netpoets.net/ http://marge.netpoets.net/ http://vicky.netpoets.net/ http://balladeer.netpoets.net/ http://mysteriasmuse.netpoets.net/ I'm guessing your ISP at home has a *very* strange DNS system and doesn't have the netpoets.net in its database yet. It has to be strange because that domain was moved a week before piptalk.com was, and you're obviously getting there okay. Just for the sake of curiosity, you might try the other two domain moved the same day as the netpoets.net domain. http://poetry-magazine.com/ http://100-poems.com/ If it was me, I'd probably wait a few more days to see if they update. If they haven't updated by Monday, I'd give them a call. |

I cannot connect, as you thought, to any of the netpoet links, but I can connect to the latter two. Urk. I'll call them tomorrow, see when they plan to update next. I thought I WAS okay...because I'm HERE...well, sort of. Apparently I *poof* now and then! Thanks for checking that out for me Ron. I didn't want you to think you needed more coffee...nor that I was certifiable. I'm not, really. I think.  |
