Hi, Well, I read most of the work put down here. Chris' specially made me think. Well, like I said before, I am new to prose, and I am learning. SO, do you HAVE to write like those long pieces? or can you just like, uhn, do a short bit for critique, like I have done? I am in the middle of writing a 60page fairytale for my daughter (with a journalist friend to edit it, since my spelling and grammar sucks!) Could you maybe please let me know what you think? A. |

No the pieces don't have to be long. Prose is more like writting 'What I did for my summer vacation'. A poor analogy but close. And per forum rules is supposed to be under 5000 words. Good luck with your fairytale!! "You never have to worry...Never fear for I am near" |

They can be any length you want them to be! "Even a fool knows you can't touch the stars, but it doesn't stop a wise man from trying." Harry Anderson, "Night Court" *Cassandra Roseen* |

The length of the story/prose doesn't matter much at all, as long as you think you fully develop your idea you're set. Just keep under 5,000 words (and no, splitting up the post doesn't keep it under 5,000 words) and you're piece is okie dokie.
