From Death to Eternal Life "Can anyone tell me why Jesus Christ had to die, if by us being a good person or by our good works we could make it to Heaven on our own, without accepting Him as our Savior." Some people think receiving Jesus as your Savior is only about going from bad to good, but it is also about going from dead to alive; because making good choices is a lifetime effort but when Jesus shed His Righteous blood He took all the sins of the world upon Himself; because He died we don't have to work our way to Heaven, Jesus worked His way to us when He shed His Righteous blood for a sinful world, and when He rose from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit< he offers us that same power when we repent of our sins and ask Him to be our Savior. JamesLee 3/29/16 I'm not saying not to be good, although He will help you to be good after He gives you Life, because God is all things good, but you don't have to be good to come to Him, He receives you just as you are, a filthy sinner, and in His Righteous blood you will be a new person in Christ; before dead in your sins, now alive in Christ, invite Him into your Heart to be your Savior. "And this is the testimony, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.".. I John 5:11. "He that has the Son has life, he that doesn't have the Son doesn't have life."...I John 5:12. |
