One of the many rules thrust upon us is obey, another preach, yet another is deceive. All that aside rules are never broken, they are imperfect to begin with. Does it matter? Perhaps not yet, perhaps never. That aside back to normal life. So the lawyer of sorts will cough, and his smooth hands will grab four folders, and he will bow his head. Hazel the amber eyed youth will look away from her rain streaked window. Jane will finally face up and look around. Edgar by then will have casually taken a seat, two seats to left of Jane. The fair haired youth by then however, will still not have moved. The lawyer of sorts, will introduce himself as James Flint, though he won't shake anyone's hand. Perhaps the rest of the meeting will be a simple matter of business, perhaps not. So you and I dear listener must sift through the muck and see whatever it is we can. halfway through the meeting Hazel decided to sit. She meant to sit by Jane, feeling out of place however, she opted for an empty seat opposite the coffee table. Edgar meanwhile wondered about the need for so many chairs. The meeting went on, and on until outside cloudy day turned into cloudy night. By then James Flint stood up and declared with a raspy voice " this is a mess". He then rushed out the door and down the stairs and up the street, forgetting papers, car keys and all. The night however was cool, and the cold crept into his skin. Figuratively one could say it felt eerie to stand in front of a building, that was mostly empty. Until of course one realized that it simply wasn't eerie. Cold but not quite shivering James Flint took a deep breath, remembered his uncle and his words. Then unsure as to what had worried him, went into the building again, to finish what had already been finished before his days of work. James Flint arrived at the door at end of the dark corridor and was tempted to knock, but the thought struck him as foolish. Instead he quietly opened the door, nodded to his oddly patient clients, and headed straight to his desk. There he arranged his documents into four piles, and took out four boxes, wherein he promptly placed his files. Then with a failed attempt at formality he muttered something like "here you go" before muttering something about "family dues." James Flint then scurried away somehow at the first opening he got. Lost as ever, and kept far too late, Edgar, Hazel, and Jane went off to there lives. (slightly illogical eh?) Leaving only the fair haired youth alone with a dark table, a black box, and a dying lamp. |

Sounds like Mr. Flint has some serious issues to deal with, perhaps more than Jane, Edgar and Hazel! Keep it coming! ...just bein' Bluesy |
