The room is shimmering and metallic, Within this room thoughts may be viewed during the process of formation, "Where am I?" The answer comes immediately as an "Aha!" moment, "The control room." Inexpressible in human language, spoken words, this place and process is astonishing to witness. Effects of viewing this hidden process, this sacred place, Include, but are not limited to: exhilaration, ecstasy, overwhelming joy. Imagine, for a moment, seeing a thought forming in your own mind, Can you begin to comprehend the impact of such a thing? If one can see thoughts forming, can see pre-thoughts and consciously know they are pre-thoughts, Then they must be, have to be, flowing from, at the very least, a deep, usually inaccessible region of the mind, But, by necessity of the situation, a part of the mind separate from the aware, everyday consciousness, Freud's "unconscious", Or perhaps from somewhere else altogether. Indescribable but for abstract artistic expression, Each edge is distinct, sharp, true, true, From this vantage point one can see into the trees and know, KNOW, what they know, And that they know, Creaking, loud, everywhere, like night on an old wooden boat in rough seas, This is a vision of reality bypassing cultural filters, granted to a lucky, brave?, few, A vision of reality that allows the viewing of the creation of reality, Consciousness fully and purely experienced as such, Empty, A blank tape of what is, unobscured by ego, Void of inputs of any kind, It is silence, It is dusk in a soundproof room, It is anxiety of separation, It is you, alone, It is, indeed, the ugly truth. But truth isn't ugly, it just is, Ugliness is a perception, When fully understood as such it gives way to an appreciation of the beauty in truth, To a realization that truth is beauty, To comprehend the ugliness of one's alone-ness is to appreciate one-ness, And that is the truth, and it is beautiful. |

In Maslow's hiearchy of needs self actualization often occurs with the acceptance of oneself. It also is accompanied by long, enjoyable bouts of solitude. This reminded me in a way of that level of need we supposedly all seek to obtain. Just my two-cents. I enjoyed this very much. |
