*Please note, this is my first attempt at prose.* There she sits Trembling like usual. Unable to control what she's going through. She's been here many times. Too many times! And she would like nothing better than to forget. That's what they all say. "Forget it!" "Get on with your life!" "You've learned your lesson, now live with it!" She is condemned For that which she had no control over. Awake, she remembers details. Flashbacks. Feelings. FEAR. Asleep, she remembers details. Death. Threats. FEAR. She cannot escape. She simply copes. There she sits Trembling like usual. Unable to control what she's going through. Jesus lives in my heart! He can in yours too!!! |

I think, perhaps, everyone goes through a time where they are in limbo, unable to figure how to move one more step through the maze. I remember being in a work situation where things kept going backward instead of forward, and I was depressed every day. A friend passed on this: "Two steps forward, one step back." Her message was incomprehendible to me, so I physically acted it out clear across the room. Before I knew it, I had made a dance of her advice! As silly as it sounds, when I would get down, I would act out "two steps forward, one step back, two steps forward, one step back" to regain hope of ever crossing the room. It gave me hopes of leaving the mazes and solving conflicts. Your prose reminded me of old times... I enjoyed how well you expressed yourself. miscellanea |
