Water Imp, Tree Sprite, and Fire Elemental are all daughters of the Mother of Light Daughters of a heart touching Mother Nature with more than the drifting of a soul at night Born because of a replete and fulfilled passion to a mother residing within an earthier domain Sired by the giving trusting loving touch of a man who is afraid only of his ability to cause pain So never worry when walking alone within the woods or splashing your way up or down a pleasant stream If you feel you are joined in your fun by the stepsisters you see only in a daydream "If there is any doubt about it there is no doubt about it." Prose defined:a literary medium distinguished from poetry especially by its greater irregularity and variety of rhythm and its closer correspondence to the patterns of everyday speech. So please remember this definition before you critisize this one for rhyming and state that it is in the wrong place. If prose happens to rhyme its definition does not change. I read this a while ago, DonFurr, and opted to leave it. It could arguably be called poetry (because of format, not rhyme, btw) but I figured you placed it here for a reason. FWIW - The reason we generally move "poetry" from this forum to one of the other, 'poetic' forums is for reasons of visibility. Those who enter this forum are generally looking for more "story-like" pieces than those reading in the other forums, therefore, it's more likely for a poetic/prosetic piece to recieve more attention in another forum. You are of course more than welcome to leave it here, if that's what you feel more comfortable with, but don't be too surprised if it receives less attention than you feel it deserves, due to the above reasons.
