My day started with my typical routine. Although most of what happened was a blur I know that I went to school and worked the student store. There had been a faculty meeting and my store teacher told me that a teacher had passed away over the weekend. I asked who. I am glad I asked who but nothing would have prepared me to even comprehend that it could possibly be my teacher. I was told who it was and I cried. I fell to my knees and cried and cried. My first period teacher and guide died. I remember her voice distinctly. Today as I sat in the classroom. I could here her voice. I felt her in the classroom I know she is there. I am thankful to have met this amazing person. I didn't make it through the day at school that day about midway through 2nd or 3rd period not sure which I had to leave. I was in shock and trying to grieve. I went home and in my room I wrote a poem. My teacher my guide. The poem I read with a friend at her service. I met her family and her father. Her father Larry showed me a place I never would have imagined existed. Why did a tragedy have to result in this? If I could not ever post here, in exchange for her to be alive. I would. I can barely cope knowing she is gone. I wish she were here. I wish I were gone her here. |

Kellie, Life gives us tough times and no barters. How incredible to know that we had Ginger Michelle (Miss Chadwick) in our lives! I wouldn't trade that for anything...ever. So now the challenge is what to do with what life dealt us. She'll want to know. ![]() If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |

Kellie, this is well done. I hope your school year is going okay for you. You're still in my prayers ok? ![]() --Beth Howl at the stars, whisper when you're sleeping, I'll be there to hold you, I'll be there to stop the chills and all the weeping. |

When I was in high school, I too lost a teacher. One that everyone admired. What made it harder to deal with for all, was that her two daughters were students at the school. She was mourned by the entire town. The funeral home was so full that there were people outside listening in. Since then I have lost a lot of loved ones and friends. It never gets easier, unfortunately. I just wanted you to know that you are never alone in grieving. I hope you can find peace in knowing that she is in a better place now. I'm sure that she would be very proud to see the way you are writing. Thank you for sharing with us. |
