State of Hope

Dearest,

Tonight I am finding myself far from you as usual, and I cannot reach far enough into my mind to quell the pain in my heart. There seems to be a haunting of pain the is choking the breath of my belief in us out of my hope tonight. I beg for mercy and it laughs with the glee of a demon child as it swings it claws of hate in my face. I am racing, my love to find the way out of myself. This box I placed myself in shrinks with every wet tear that dries up inside of it. When I think of the fresh bruises I cannot help but be wary of our love. That feeling doesn't have a long life, for my love for you will always be stronger than my doubts. At least, that is the hope I grasp on to daily if I can. Here I am writing cliche love letters to you while everyone who reads sits and shakes their heads. Is it the quality of writing I'm looking for or the sake of getting thoughts to scream from beneath the coverings that are me? There are many of me, love, and I fear you have not found them all. Neither have I, and I await the showing of them all sometimes with the fear that they will become the one me that I have to keep to myself at times.

I am here just leaning inwardly trying to purge all of this creativity and emotion that seems to thrive upon my indignities. There is a strong wondering as I am thinking on your face too often these days. If its this pain that lets me know I am alive and able to at least have you in a small way, then let it continue. I will try to breathe...I will try to remember to breathe.

This is a wonderful place to express yourself~

This piece has some well-stated thoughts in it.
I found the format of a letter interesting to read.

I felt the writer's emotional anguish seep through it~
