place we’ve been
The place we are
The place we’ll go
Time past
Time present
The future

Our past is but a memory, recollections that stand out in our lives, a memory picture stored within the corridors of the mind, where thoughts alone unravel the maze and paint the perfect reflection of a past now gone. The good and bad, the high times and the low times stay forgotten, till an odor, till a word or vision’s recalled, opening then, memories door and flooding the mind with sights. Sights that bring both smiles and tears, be they hidden or silent.

The present now, the place we are and live, where time is not a memory, but where memories are being created and carved within the stone of time that ticks with every second of the patient clock of destiny. Here time moves quickly, each day thought seeming an eternity. We look back and see that another year has passed, we wonder where.
A live that started young, wandered down the road of age, time being unkind, not stopping for the briefest second to look back from where it came. Till aged remembering, do we realize how quickly time does really pass.

The future, where hope and well being of life is sort, where time may slow and give all the chance to reflect back on memories all so important. The backlog of a lifetime can now be enjoyed with the contentment of a past lived. One hopes that there is further to travel when the time on earth is over. Hope of a guiding hand to take hold, showing the way to the valley of light and the company of all souls that fill and work its fields.

Interesting, Rick. I would only add that to me, the present does not exist, because how do you live in the moment, which is gone in the space it takes to draw breath?
Good contemplative reading, thanks.

Thankyou Sunshine for your replie after having read my work, seems we share the same thoughts.
Catalinamoon, between our past and the future is the place we exist as a second or a breathe passes, if not do we live in our past or the future? We may live on our memories, but create them in the moment of present.
Just my thoughts, thankyou for yours.

Hi Rick
No reply to "The Test"? Was interested in your reply of my imput.....maybe I was late in replying.

Re "Time"...
please check wording "A (live/life) that started"....

Found this poem a bit confusing ie at the start you were very specific re past, present, future yet in the poem, especially in the present verse, these times overlapped ...maybe that's life!
love Lynda (don't care!)
