Sometimes in life you have those strange relationships with people of the opposite sex. You know, the love/hate kind, where they are one of your best friends - sometimes - just friends, but yet there could be more. And then sometimes there is more. Sometimes they ask you your feelings, and you think that they just want to be friends, so you say that you are just friends. But what were they really feeling? Sometimes there is that "sexual tension," (a simple kiss or the hold of a hand) when you both want to do something to happen, but due to extenuating circumstances, you can't do anything. And what would happen if you did? Would it be simply friends with benefits, or would it be more than that? Life is not full of close friends; they are few and far between. But life is full of little crushes, relationships and "what if" The biggest problem is: should you turn one of your close friends into a relationship, or leave it as a "what if?" And what if there are always extenuating circumstances? And what if you try it and it doesn't work out- can you ever return to that status of close friends? But what if it does work out? But what if there are always extenuating circumstances that prevent you from trying? I believe that giving up that "what if" to experience love is one of the greatest problems, we all want to be loved, but when we are loved we only want something more. Why is that? Why do we want more? Are we selfish as humans? Why do we turn to relationships when we know we will just get hurt? Is the hurt worth that slight glimpse of love? Or is the hurt something that is unbearable and over takes us? We have no control and we then never want to love or seek love again. It all come back to the "what if", what if we never took that chance, would we sit and wonder "what if?" all the time? |

Dear 5 Sweet Kisses...(just had to greet you to see if it types as fun as it reads...it does). Lucy is in. Your question is theological...as is the answer; a fact which means, I am afraid, that we sell all forms of love..... short. That will be a nickel. Just teasing. Yours is the best read I've had all morning. Truly. Thank you much. Bob |

This is wonderful. It's something that is definetly close to my heart, and you phrase it so well. Great work ![]() "so when at times the mob is swayed to carry praise or blame too far, we may choose something like a star" --Frost |
