Are you using Word? What version?

If you are working in Word I suggest you run a Virus checker on Your PC, it is possible that you have picked up a Word Macro virus. These work by building and inserting new Macro’s to replace the original commands that come with Word. If you haven’t got a Virus checker GET ONE, Word Macro Viruses are the most prevalent Virus around and are easily picked up. You can look at the Macro’s by clicking Tools then Macro’s on the tool bar.
A less likely reason for losing the ability to copy would be that you have overwritten the Ctl + C keyboard command. Check this by clicking Tools then Customize then Keyboard, choose Edit, then Editcopy and you should see the Keystrokes associated with this function.

If all else fails, panic, then find a file on your puter called Normal.dot and delete it. This file is the standard template that word uses, if it is deleted the software will create a new one with the original settings.

( These instructions are working on the premise that you have Word95 Ver 7.0, if you have another version you will have to find the appropriate buttons )

If this doesn’t help you may need to re-load Word.
