I jsut wanted to know how one could beceme a moderater at Passions, probably for Teen Poetry. I've been wanting to for a while, but figured I'd ask about the process first. Thanks! Salooma  |

As a prestigous Teen Moderator, I shall let you in on the secret....you must suck up to Poet deVine and Ron!  Just kidding! Well, I was approached when they needed someone (I guess because I read and replied a lot) and asked if I was interested, which I was. And from that point on, I became a moderator! It's a lot of work though, Salooma...making sure everything is read, making sure the rules are being followed. It takes up almost all of my free internet time. Alywe's right - as always..  Moderating is a very time-consuming endeavor. It takes a great deal of commitment to do it well. In reality, making your desire known is really quite simple if you truly want the job. No one has become a moderator here at Passions who didn't let Ron know of their interest. If you're up to the task, you need tell him so. Although he seeks our advice on his choices, the final decision on who moderates is exclusively Ron's. He'll consider whether those interested agree with the philosophies he's set forth for Passions in Poetry, and whether there's a potential moderator spot that's appropriate for them. Thanks you guys...helps a lot....it sounds like a lot of work, but I still wanna do it, but I'm gonna wait a few weeks and see if I'll have time as much as I do when school starts up again. Thanks again.... Salooma |
