went to load picture.. but it says those fields are not editable.??
my pic is on my hard drive.. not a url.
help!

Do NOT go into your Profile to upload the photo. Instead, on the Member's Area menu (where you just found the Profile Link), you should see another option specifically for uploading the picture. Once you get there, I think you'll find it pretty easy.

And while this doesn't apply to you, there's a couple of points about photos I want to address real quickly.

First, no Member can directly edit the photo URL in their Profile to link to a picture sitting somewhere on the Internet. We did that once, several months ago, but found many threads were loading too slowly because of slow servers. The only way to add a photo to your Profile, now, is to upload it to our server, Ceres. That's effectively the only way we can insure proper size and dimensions.

Second, I've been getting a LOT of requests for help from people who can't find the Photo Upload link on the Member's Area page. Unfortunately, they can't find it because - for them - it doesn't yet exist.

It is rather poorly documented since we upgraded the software, but the photo upload is only for full Members and won't even be seen by Jr. Member (less than 50 posts). This was done because we had a lot of people discover the forums, upload their picture, and then after only a few posts, move on to other interests. Since this is a fairly resource intense feature, we decided to reserve it for those who decided to stay with us for a while.

If you have less than 50 posts, you won't even see the link. When you hit that magic number 50, however, it will mysteriously appear!
